Hey you! I started this blog so that I can inform you what's happening with me in lovely London.
I never really originally planned on traveling after graduation, instead I felt that getting a job, starting my life and going to collage right after would be best. Then one day my good friend Eileen told me about her plans of traveling to London with a missions group called YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and that she thought it would be fun if I would come with. I was delighted with the idea and gladly put my other plans aside so that I could go with her.
Later while during the process of applying to YWAM, Eileen informed me that she had invited our good friend Lizzy, but she had yet to confirm if she could come or not. One day when the three of us where visiting Lizzy informed us she could not go. This was very upsetting and I felt very sad and sorry for her.
Eventually 3 weeks later after sending my application off to London and not hearing anything from them I sent them an email before Christmas Holidays,asking them is they had at least received my application. They replied two weeks later. They said that because I was still only 17 they would need special permission, and they did not like that I would be going with a friend so they could not accept me. I was devastated and I felt lost. My plans for after graduation had now fallen completely apart and I had to rethink my future.
That weekend I went to visit Eileen and Lizzy, I broke to them the bad news. They were sad for me and after some discussion we decided we would try and find another place in England that I could go. After some searching we found a lovely little place called Holmsted Manor. After the change of plans my dear friend Lizzy found out that she could go! I am so happy and excited for her!
This week I am going to be getting my application sent over to Holmsted Manor, I have no idea when they will inform me if I will be excepted because they are apparently changing leadership in the very near future.
It may seem a tad bit odd that I have already started bogging about London when I don't even know yet if I am excepted to Holmstead Manor and even if I do it's still 9 more months away, but Eileen and Lizzy wanted me to post, so here it is! ♥
